Energy Efficiency
We're proud of the long associations we have with Australia's energy companies, helping them to deliver energy saving programs to both business and residential customers. As a result, we have expertise in working in commercial and home environments, and have delivered these services under our own brand and as a white-label solution under our clients' brands.
Fieldforce's experience has been gained over the last 12 years during which time we have delivered a total of almost 350,000 energy efficient assessments across all Australian programs.
Home and Business Energy Saving Activities
We've provided services across a range of government initiatives over the last ten years.
Enviro Saver Program:
Fieldforce is excited to be providing Victorian households with the opportunity to take advantage of the state government's new energy efficiency initiative by supplying and installing energy saving switches (standby power controllers) free of charge under its Enviro Saver Program.
These devices are offered under the same scheme that distributed compact fluorescent (CFL) energy saving globes to hundreds of thousands of Victorian residents over recent years. These clever switches help to reduce standby and active power wastage for electrical appliances such as TVs, DVDs and computer equipment.

Fieldforce also currently operates its Enviro Saver Program in South Australia. Under the state's Residential Energy Efficiency Scheme, we create REES certificates therefore providing carbon offsets. So far, we have delivered over 126,000 REES certificates under this scheme.
One of the most effective methods of delivering carbon offsets is the installation of energy saving globes and low flow, water efficient showerheads to reduce water heating costs. Fieldforce pioneered the industry in delivering free energy saving globes to households in order to generate carbon offsets in 2004.
The highly successful Enviro Saver initiatives also ran for a number of years in New South Wales. In fact, Fieldforce is credited with installing 1.4 million low-flow showerheads in NSW across the last ten years – an average of more than one per home across the state. In addition, nearly 3 million energy-saving light globes have been distributed over the same period.
Home Health Check Program:
The Home Health Check program represented a branded version of the Australian Federal Government's Green Loans Program. Conducted in homes across the nation, the program offered residents a two-hour home sustainability assessment. We started with lead generation, contacting homes to schedule appointments, and then dispatched specially trained assessors to the field. The assessment included an analysis of key behaviours around the home, together with construction and insulation information and energy usage data.
By the end of the program, Fieldforce delivered almost 100 000 Home Health Checks. This makes us the largest provider of Green Loan assessments nationally. In fact, within only 4 months of the program's inception, we had over 500 assessors fully utilised in across the country – a testimony to our ability to rapidly scale our operations in line with program requirements. This impressive growth was managed to ensure consistent quality, with our expertise in specialist recruitment, training, and overall field management helping us to pass our federal Department Audits with 100% success. The comprehensive Fieldforce training our assessors received in addition to the standard government Green Loans training was recognised as a significant contributor to this achievement.

In addition, our expertise across the spectrum of the Green Loans Program was acknowledged by the government as they engaged us in an advisory role on the project.
Hardship Home Energy Assessments
The NSW Office of Environment and Heritage selected Fieldforce after a comprehensive tender process to assist in the implementation of their Home Power Savings Program. This program consists of educating eligible NSW customers about the various ways in which they can save power in order to reduce their bills, while also providing practical means to help them do so.
Fieldforce recruited a team of energy experts and provided specialised training in how to best meet the unique needs of these customers. We manage leads through our call centre, book appointments, and schedule attendances by our own team members.
The Home Power Savings Program partnership shows Fieldforce's ability to deliver an end-to-end solution of significant scale while balancing customer sensitivity.

Fieldforce was also chosen as an exclusive partner for the delivery of hardship assessments on behalf of energy companies in Western Australia and South Australia. These companies recognise that within Australia, access to electricity is considered a basic human right. Accordingly, they have set up mechanisms to work with individuals who have expressed difficulty in paying their bills, helping them to manage energy usage in their home and decrease the associated bills.
Fieldforce provides an assessment of the customer's power usage and then makes recommendations as to how this can be reduced in order to save the customer money.
Delivery of such assessments requires our team to match a strong compliance focus with compassion for the individual. Recognising the sensitivity required in these matters, we have been able to deliver key behavioural change in energy use and achieve positive outcomes for both the consumer and the energy companies we represent.
Demand Management
Recent successful work with a Queensland energy company demonstrated Fieldforce's ability to administer small pilot projects in addition to the larger, more high profile ones upon which we've established our reputation. This particular pilot study was focused on demand management in Cairns homes with swimming pools. Fieldforce conducted 400 assessments on energy usage at these residences with a view to reducing the high power consumption of the pools' pumps. We installed an economiser timer, allowing the pumps to run on an off-peak cycle in the same manner as a hot-water system. The effects were significant and the overall project considered so successful that investigation is underway to expand the program further.
