Fieldforce supports small business and government to deliver green loans program

Australia’s leading provider of energy and water efficiency and conservation products, Fieldforce Services Pty Ltd is investing heavily and supporting small business to enable the Department of the Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts to successfully deliver its Green Loans Program to households.

"Fieldforce employs small business owners as Green Loans Assessors. In order to provide work for these small business owners, Fieldforce has invested its own money in developing an IT interface to DEWHA. This interface allows us to be issued with booking numbers necessary for our assessors to complete each job," said Michael Waymark, Acting Executive General Manager of Fieldforce. "Our assessors provide a comprehensive home assessment and give householders feedback on ways they can create efficiencies in their energy and water usage. In line with the program rules that govern all Assessors and Home Sustainability Assessments, our assessors do not recommend specific suppliers or product brands and we are limited in the number of bookings we can generate in any week," said Mr Waymark.

Fieldforce is one of a number of organisations authorised to provide training for Home Sustainability Assessor certifications and trains all of its assessors.

"Today, we have 380 small business owners working in the field conducting Home Sustainability Assessments under the Green Loans program. We have invested in training another 150 assessors who are awaiting accreditation who have not commenced field assessments," said Mr Waymark.

Fieldforce is certified to ISO 9001, AS/ANZ 4801, ISO14001 standards for Quality, Safety and Environment. Under these certifications, the business undertakes extensive auditing of all work it conducts. "We undertake audits of the Home Sustainability Assessments performed by our assessors to ensure they are of a consistently high standard. Fieldforce also regularly conducts tool box meetings for all assessors to share field experiences and continuously improve the knowledge of our workforce," Mr Waymark said.
